Hermes Fitness Center
The Galveston College Sarah H. Hermes Fitness Center is open to students, faculty, staff and college retirees. Students, faculty and staff must present a current Galveston College ID and sign in at the front desk.
Hours of Operation
Spring Semester Hours
January 12, 2026 - May 6, 2026
Monday through Thursday - 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Friday - 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The fitness center is closed weekends, holidays, and during College Breaks (Thanksgiving, Spring, and Winter breaks)

The Sarah H. Hermes Fitness Center connected to the Fine Arts Building features a gymnasium, weight-training equipment in a mirrored exercise room, showers and locker rooms on the first floor, H-100. An aerobics classroom and spectator seating for viewing events in the gymnasium are located on the second floor.
Lockers and locks are available, please see the front desk attendant for assistance.
